AGE OF THE FORGOTTEN

0
Inclined,
we are to war
The
battle of that and this; all on tar
Countless
days of been wide and far
Barefooted
to our lost country
Matching
with nothing except will
For
hope: we have lost in battle
Tired
and weary like a fish at the shore
Crying
and wailing while some snore
Our
forefathers left us as crisis whore
Reluctantly,
we battle for peace
That
which we lost at a constant pace;
By
steadily rocking the boat of corruption
This
is the age of the forgotten
Penned
across the river of rotten
Whence
cometh our heritage of wearing cotton
Shame
extends warmth to all
Shambles
of hope as we fall
Secrets
withheld at our downfall
Pity;
now in black and white
History
fades like a distant kite;
Where
all should have been right.
