ALONE

1

All work no pay turn wet bones
dry,

Soaring heat synchronous with
goods’ high price,
No change, progress static,
mounting a miserable life.
And I still go back home to my
ever-angry wife.
Tweaking the sun and the moon in
an elliptical mode,
Still leaves of change refuse to
unfold,
Situations seem to get only worse,
And now a sack letter from my only
job.
Now am back on my knees like a
fresh graduate,
Whose radiance has failed to grade
his age.
Am in search of any well of
livelihood,
So, I can set my life and live
worriless in my hood.
A good job and life aren’t
forthcoming
Even after my fourth job, and a
flexed toiling.
Wrinkles of smiles aren’t
forthcoming,
Seems the world is lost in the
hopeless territory.
