Forsaken for another,
Exchanged for another,
Love hurts the brokenhearted
And soothes its later.

But later may never come,
Seeming like eternity,
Minutes run into hours
And the latter into days.

Weeks go by
And months say to them ‘bye’
Years comes in for their shift
And after the third shift, a leap of faith.

Decades of waiting ushers in a century
And a millennium takes away the grief.

But superior is the love of a mother
For it withers not.
It harbors memories of devotion,
Affection and all its synonyms.

From the first day
Till later comes,
It stands strong and defensive.
Love truly is the key,
But a mother’s is the master of them all.
